This is the bagel order from the shop on my block. They know me and my order at this point, but the price went up by like $2 in the last 4 months and I decided to buy the ingredients myself to see what I can make happen…

Ingredients

Whole wheat everything bagel, halved
Lox spread cream cheese
Tomato, sliced
White onion, thinly sliced

Instructions, but more like, uh, my process

Pop the bagel in the toaster for a while. Salt and pepper the tomatoes and let them rest. Toss the onion in a bowl of ice water, it’ll take some of the edge off. Once the bagel is toasted, let it rest otherwise the cream cheese will just run and get thinner.

Then it’s just about assembling >:)

I also wrap it because I don’t have to worry about things slipping and sliding. Then added a few cherries and barley tea :~)
