Where are my boys??? And by my boys, I mean, the male cicada killer wasps that usually hang out by the rose bushes that are on my walk to the gym. They’re usually up and buzzing around this time of year and in the mornings, but I have not been seeing them :( I wonder if the owners used a type of pesticide or what to keep them off but I miss them.

The empty lot on the sidewalk that used to have towering stalks of sunflowers also got filled with concrete. Darn.

However, my neighbors gave me a key to the backyard which they’ve set up with some outdoor furniture. I’m hoping to grow some basil. Maybe I will see and meet other, different kind of bugs.
