Accepting that no matter what, for as long as I live, I will continue to incur small injuries doing kitchen work, perhaps as a payment for the delicious things I make, or because of, like, statistics. Also, I only have waterproof bandaids in my house?

Fragrances I’m enjoying:

• Odeur 53 by Comme des Garcons (banger, the best)
• Odeur 71 by Comme des Garcons (sometimes can feel a bit too sweet, but comforting)
• Blackpepper and Black by Comme des Garcons (both of these I love primarily for their black pepper opening note)
• Portuguese Man o War by Zoologist (the opening note kicks you in the throat and it’s so addicting)

Perfumes I thought I was obsessed with but now am sick of:

• L’Eau D’Issey by Issey Miyaki (I really like the white floral, but it’s kind of one note and stays light and airy, now feels like the girliest thing in the world)
• Black Saffron by Byredo (smells way too sweet now)
• Another 13 by Le Labo (a great intro to Iso E Super but I’d want something with way less of it)

Forever faves:

• Ombre Leather by Tom Ford
• Tom’s natural deodorant in Natural Woods

Wish they lasted longer / transformed differently:

• Steamed Rainbow by DS and Durga
• Morel Map by Clue
• Amazingreen by Comme des Garcons (this smells sooooo good, but 1) I don’t think green scents develop well with my body chemistry and 2) they also just don’t tend to last long)

Flops:

• Concrete by Comme des Garcons (truly like gag, hyuck bwah ugh what the fuck. it is NOT wet concrete like I had hoped, not even a little)
• Seahorse by Zoologist (actually liked the salty aquatic in here for a while but just weighed too heavy and I got sick of it)
• #2 by Comme des Garcons (this is just incense )

Clearly I’m enjoying a lot of CDG but I think I might be done with what they have to offer so far. I wanna look at Zoologist more, especially Snowy Owl and Penguin because of the promise of “icy” smell. But I hate anything vanilla or gourmand. I wanna try out some of the heavy hitters while it’s still cold and not so sweaty feeling.
