I don’t know what possessed me to see this movie again. I knew the IFC Center was playing it for the past few weeks, I knew it was because Araki had a new film that was showing. But when I first saw that they were playing this and it had been restored in 4K, I laughed.
I watched this for the first time after I’d read the book when I was middle school. This among dozens of other books, movies, TV shows, anything that had gay guys in it.
...My day, every day, starts the night before.
I shower because it’s hot and I sweat, and I’ve gotten into the habit of making my bed. Ever since I installed the AC in my bedroom, I no longer sleep with a flimsy top sheet that I don’t know how to make neat. I brought my duvet and duvet cover back and do a fold over so it looks like a made bed. And I do not want to get under my duvet with sweaty subway skin that’s dried multiple times over. So.
...Where are my boys??? And by my boys, I mean, the male cicada killer wasps that usually hang out by the rose bushes that are on my walk to the gym. They’re usually up and buzzing around this time of year and in the mornings, but I have not been seeing them :( I wonder if the owners used a type of pesticide or what to keep them off but I miss them.
...Finally, a pro-abortion movie <3
