I remember the first year that I had Puppycat, we would fight a lot but one day he started sneaking into the crook of my elbow at night, right before bed. For weeks, we’d fall asleep together, me on my right side spooning his tiny, fluffy body with my left arm, and feeling his purring and heartbeat against the palm of my hand.
I distinctly remember thinking, “This is special!!! Remember this!” and I do!!!
I feel like I’ve been introducing myself a lot lately. Though every time I say my name to someone it’s with a sense of apprehension about their response. Are they going to smile and nod with their eyes kind of glazed over and you can tell, like, they seriously are not even considering remembering it? Or will they say it correctly and then ask so eager, like “Did I get that right?”

Ultimately, this movie was really fun to watch, especially the sound design and the soundtrack. I was absolutely blasted in the very back row of the Regal and the vibe was amazing.
However, it feels crazy that a month ago Assata Shakur dies and then this comes out. So interesting the biraciality of it all. The French 75 seem to be some kind of anarchist group with catchy and corny dialogue (whatever the hell Teyana Taylor was spouting at the beginning like “free borders, free bodies” blah). The two narrative anchors for the main characters (both on screen (Willa) and off (Perfidia)) are two white boys with very specific and opposing swag.

I love going on a walk and looking up and seeing a crow and then a seagull. Like, awesome, we got both dark and water type birds in my neighborhood, yay <3
Watching Naruto Shippuden, on episode 16 with a mysterious illness. There’s a chicken soup with potatoes, carrots, garlic, celery and cilantro in the instant pot. I’m wearing the green tiger shirt I got from Ragstock in Chicago after I walked there from an eventful but ultimately fun coffee and snack break at Kasama.
